Ah, lovely BristolCon. People often comment that it’s small but perfectly formed (which is true) but it should be pointed out that it’s also very well run. And let’s not forget that there’s free tea, coffee and water for everyone ALL DAY. How civilised is that!
I did my first BristolCon last year and remember that at the time I had just gone out on submission so it was really striking to actually be involved in the programme this year.
My first ever workshop on Getting Unstuck (for writers) was fully booked and went really well. Thanks to all those who turned up* and best of luck with your projects!
Was also lovely to see so many newcomers at the con. I hope they all enjoyed their day. It was particularly gratifying to see people who had come to our panel on Interactions being brave later in the day.
I’m often proud of Emma but it was especially brilliant to see her being guest of honour (and kudos to Gareth Powell for running such a good interview).
Good to see old friends too. Massive thanks to all the people who worked so hard to make the convention a success. I’ll be definitely going back next year, hope to see you there!
*I'd love to know if you were able to move forward with your WIP's. Come find me on twitter and let me know. I'm runpetewrite there.
