In case I didn't mention it, The Malice (book 2 in The Vagrant Series) was launched last week. There was a blog tour that included:
–a guest post on Fantasy Book Reviews on Disability in Fantasy
–a review of the book and a chance to win copies at Dark Readers
–Another review at SF Book Reviews
–A guest post at Fantasy Faction about building your own Frankenstein's Fantasy Author (featuring Myke Cole's arms)
-And an extract of the book plus review at Parmenion Books (Which was very interesting to me as they hadn't read The Vagrant first.)
Signing at Goldsboro (it's hard being a leftie!)
I also went and signed books at Goldsboro, Forbidden Planet and Waterstones.
And then there was the launch itself. Thanks to all the lovely people who came for cakes, chat and cocktails. I have to give a special mention to Emma, who did a superb job making the 'in conversation with' section fun and engaging. I'd also like to thank Charlie and the staff at Waterstones Covent Garden for looking after us, and Fliss from Harper Voyager for making it all happen. And, of course, a big thanks to Sim for my new goat!
But perhaps the star of the night was The Malice Cupcakes! Big thanks to Victoria's Kitchen for really exceeding my expectations on all fronts. This led to some excellent cake selfies appearing on Twitter and Facebook.
I had an absolutely brilliant time, so good in fact it took me several days to recover!
There now follows pictures…

A tree hung on a reindeer, sitting on a tray, resting on a butler. What could it all mean?

And don't forget about the Tea and Jeopardy Christmas Competition!
This week, the amazing Myke Cole comes to the tea lair to discuss all sorts of things including: romance novels, transferable skills you can bring from the military to your writing and why he doesn't engage other writers in brutal contests of martial prowess. Link is here.
Also features time travel and chickens.
